Ghanaian musician Kuami Eugene has openly expressed his dissatisfaction with how gospel artiste Joyce Blessing promoted their song, “Victory.”

In an interview with Hitz FM, Kuami Eugene compared Joyce Blessing‘s promotional effort to that of another gospel musician, Empress Gifty, who has been vigorously promoting the “Watch Me” song he produced.

While acknowledging that Joyce Blessing initially did well with “Victory” when it was released and went viral, he said he noticed that her promotional efforts diminished after shortly after.

“I think Joyce Blessing didn’t do as much as Empress Gifty is doing. I’m just being real. I love Auntie Joyce so much, but I don’t think she did justice to the song like Empress is doing. At the beginning, when she put it out there and it went viral, it did really well. But after December, that was it. She has a hit song, so, yeah, that’s it,” he said.

In contrast, Kuami Eugene praised Empress Gifty for her relentless promotion of “Watch Me,” stating that she has been actively singing and posting about the song.

He emphasised that Empress Gifty’s promotion skill is something all artistes should learn from.

“Empress has taken a personal approach, and from a writer’s perspective, there’s a lot of respect attached to it. She’s singing everywhere and posting consistently.

“It’s been almost a month, and it doesn’t look like she’s stopping anytime soon. I think it’s something we should all learn from because she understands how to promote music and get it out there,” Kuami Eugene stated.
