Jordan Ayew was a standout performer for the Black Stars in 2024, finishing the year as the team’s top scorer with nine goals. No other player has matched his impressive tally.

The 32-year-old forward scored twice at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, netted two goals in friendlies against Nigeria and Uganda, and added four more in the 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Mali and the Central African Republic.

Ayew capped off a remarkable year by scoring a stunning goal against Angola in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers, cementing his place as one of the key figures for Ghana.

Despite a challenging year for the Black Stars, Ayew’s performances provided a bright spot, and his goal-scoring form marked his best year yet with the national team.

The striker also made history in club football, marking his 40th Premier League goal and 50th goal in English football in 2024.

Ayew’s leadership was evident when he captained the Black Stars in their penultimate match of the year, underscoring his importance to both the national team and his club, Crystal Palace.
