Black Stars forward, Jordan Ayew, has emerged as the all-time Ghanaian top scorer in the history of the Premier League.

This comes after scoring a late equalizer in Leicester City’s 2-1 defeat to Chelsea at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Nicolas Jackson broke the deadlock in the first half before Enzo Fernandez doubled the lead in the second half for the away side.

However, with minutes to end the game, Ayew, who replaced Wilfred Ndidi in the 71st minute scored an equalizer from a spot kick to end the game 2-1.

Jordan Ayew’s late equalizer against Enzo Maresca’s side means he has become the first Ghanaian to score 40 goals in the history of the Premier League.

The Ghana international who joined Leicester City from fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace has so far scored three times in 11 appearances in the Premier League.

Jordan Ayew moved to the Premier League in 2015 where he joined Aston Villa from Lorient. After two years at Villa, Ayew joined Swansea City.

However, Jordan Ayew was loaned out to Crystal Palace after two years. Following the conclusion of his loan spell at Selhurst Park, Ayew’s stay was made permanent.

After six years, Jordan Ayew left the club to join Leicester City last summer.
