Former Ghana captain, John Mensah is confident that the Black Stars will qualify to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States of America.
The Black Stars will face Chad and Mali in the September window of the World Cup qualifies on Thursday, September 4 and Monday, September 8, 2025, respectively.
Speaking to GhanaWeb ahead of the games, John Mensah stated “if they play like the last two game’s, they can qualify for the World Cup”.
He also stated that “the cohesion in the team is better known, players understand each other, and they are playing well,” emphasizing the teams recent performance in Group I where they currently lead with 15 points
Ghana will face Chad at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno in N’Djamena on September 4, followed by a home match against Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on September 8.
