Award-winning Ghanaian actor and politician John Dumelo is once again proving his dedication to the welfare of the students in his constituency.

The MP-elect has announced free buses for all University of Ghana (Legon) students to help them travel home safely as they depart for their Christmas break on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

The initiative, titled “Travel Home with John Dumelo,” offers free transportation to students heading to various destinations, including Kumasi, Ejisu, Konongo, Ho, Takoradi, Cape Coast, Winneba, and Elmina.

The meeting point for the free buses has been set at the Volta Hall Car Park on the Legon campus.

The renowned actor has encouraged the students to take advantage of this kind gesture which has so far received a lot of positive reactions on various social media platforms.

This generous act comes on the heels of John Dumelo’s recent historic victory in the Ayawaso West Wuogon parliamentary election, where he defeated the incumbent, Madam Lydia Seyram Alhassan of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Running on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dumelo’s win marks the first time the opposition party has claimed the seat in years.
