John Dumelo, a politician and actor from Ghana, is grieving the passing of his father, Engineer John William Kudzo Anato-Dumelo Snr.

    He was 75.

A few hours before his death, Dumelo had his last discussion with his father, which he described in an emotional social media memorial.

His father had given him advise on his impending swearing-in ceremony, he recalled, and they had talked about politics, life, farming, and business.

Sadly, Dumelo claimed that he learned about his father’s lack of response not long after they first met.

He died in spite of efforts to get him to the hospital as soon as possible.

Dumelo spoke to his father as his “number one cheerleader” and “best friend,” thanking him for being a rock of support. Along with sending his late mother his best wishes, he also honored his father’s legacy.
