Newly elected Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo, has warmed hearts with a touching Easter gesture by donating a portion of his first parliamentary salary to widows in the Tesano area of his constituency.

The thoughtful initiative formed part of Dumelo’s Easter outreach program, which he says is his way of giving back to the vulnerable and marginalized in his community.

“Easter is always a good time to share with others,” Dumelo said, adding that supporting widows during the festive season was a meaningful way to spread love and hope.

The actor-turned-politician took a hands-on approach, personally preparing and distributing food and care packages to selected widows in the area.

The emotional scenes that unfolded during the outreach saw many of the women shedding tears of joy and expressing their gratitude.

The widows, visibly moved by the kind gesture, offered heartfelt prayers and blessings for their MP, wishing him wisdom, good health, and long life in his leadership journey.

The donation has since been widely applauded by constituents and social media users alike, with many praising Dumelo for showing real empathy and grassroots leadership.

I spent part of my first salary as a member of parliament with widows in the Tesano area of Ayawaso west constituency yesterday. Easter is always a good time to share with others. God bless us all. #idey4u pic.twitter.com/RtqpforemN
