English-Ghanaian winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi was the standout performer as Stoke City secured a 1-1 draw against Blackburn Rovers in their Championship clash at bet365 Stadium.
Blackburn took the lead in the 21st minute through Adam Forshaw, who calmly finished from close range after a well-worked move involving Ryan Alebiosu. Despite enjoying spells of possession, Stoke struggled to convert their dominance into clear opportunities before the break.
The hosts found their breakthrough in the 57th minute when Rak-Sakyi produced a moment of quality. Cutting in from the right, he latched onto a pass from Million Manhoef and fired a precise effort past goalkeeper Balázs Tóth to restore parity.
Rak-Sakyi remained a constant threat throughout, stretching the Blackburn defence and drawing fouls in dangerous areas. Stoke pushed for a late winner, but Blackburn’s backline held firm to ensure both sides shared the spoils.
Rak-Sakyi has now made 12 league appearances this season, scoring three goals ahead of Stoke’s next trip to Wrexham on April 18.
