Ghana defender, Jeffrey Schlupp was in action for Celtic on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, when the team suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Uefa Champions League.

The versatile player watched the entire first half of the clash from the bench before making an entrance in the 65th minute when he replaced Greg Taylor.

Jeffery Schlupp’s inclusion helped Celtic to pull a goal back after a resilient showing from the hosts.

Star attacker Daizen Maeda equalized in the 79th minute after he was set up by Hyun-Jun Yang.

Despite that consolation, goals from Michael Olise and Harry Kane in the 45th and 49th minutes respectively propelled Bayern Munich to secure a hard-fought 2-1 win at the end of the 90 minutes.

The result means Jeffrey Schlupp and his Celtic teammates must travel to Germany next week and push above their weight in hopes of overturning the first leg result to progress to the next stage of the Uefa Champions League.
