Texas Democrat Jasmine Crockett was slammed for her ‘crocodile tears’ as she wept over the death of anti-ICE protester Renee Nicole Good.
The congresswoman went viral on social media as she was seen growing emotional in a Congressional hearing on Thursday, using the opportunity to slam her Republican colleagues for their response to the ICE shooting the day prior.
‘I’m just asking if there is any decency or heart or courage on that side of the aisle,’ she said.
‘The fact that a woman was killed, she was shot in her head, and y’all are pretending like nothing happened.’
Her voice began to croak as she uttered ‘a child has lost her mom…’ and put her hand to her face, before composing herself and continuing her speech.
Crockett then compared the shooting to the assassination of Charlie Kirk in September, saying that in the aftermath of the shooting Democrats ‘did not sit there and act like it was okay.’
‘Is it okay because you have a badge?’ she continued. ‘Because the last time I checked, allegedly no one is above the law.’
Crockett pointed her finger at Republicans on the other side of the hearing as she questioned: ‘Can y’all not just have a little bit of courage and humanity? I am asking if there is anyone that will stand for the very people that elected us.’

After Crockett shared a clip of her rant to X, her post was flooded with responses calling out her dramatic performance – with one saying she didn’t ‘squeeze out a tear.’
Conservative influencer Paul Szypula led criticisms of Crockett’s performance, writing on X: ‘(Crockett) fake cries as she shamefully compares how Charlie Kirk was as**ssinated for his free speech with how the terr*rist in Minneapolis was neutralized for trying to run over ICE with her car.’
‘Croc tears from Crock,’ added another.
‘Spare us the croc tears @RepJasmine and maybe keep that same energy for the tenfold increase on ICE assaults this year.’
Another critic branded her speech ‘the worst fake cry I’ve ever seen.’
The Daily Mail has contacted Crockett’s office for comment over the response to her speech about Good’s death.
Crockett’s viral clip was shared as liberal celebrities Bowen Yang and his Las Culturistas podcast co-host Matt Rogers warned their fans not to contribute to the Congresswoman’s campaign for the Senate.
‘Don’t waste your money sending to Jasmine Crockett,’ Rogers said. ‘Do not do it.’
Crockett’s speech over Good’s death comes as new footage of the ICE shooting in Minneapolis on Wednesday emerged, which showed Good blocking the road in front of ICE agents in the lead up to the tragedy.
The new footage, shared by the Department of Homeland Security on Saturday, appeared to have been shot from the second story of a home on Portland Avenue as Good was confronted by agents on the road.
It showed Good’s maroon Honda Pilot was parked about 100 feet up from where ICE agents were conducting an enforcement operation.
Throughout most of the video, a car could be heard honking over and over again. It is unclear if Good was the one doing this.
DHS characterized this footage as new evidence showing that Good ‘was STALKING and IMPEDING a law enforcement operation over the course of the morning.’
‘The media continues to fail the American people in their reporting on the events in Minneapolis,’ the agency said in the post. ‘The evidence speaks for itself. The legacy media has lost the trust of the American people.’
Like the videos that first came out on social media, Good could be seen waving other cars past her.
At least five vehicles being driven by civilians passed her before the gray pickup truck with ICE agents inside rolled up to her and turned on its sirens.
Near the end of the video, the agents could be seen encircling her vehicle as other, on-the-ground angles of the event showed.
The video posted by DHS is the latest instance of the federal government explicitly concluding that Good’s shooting was justified at least part because she was a so-called agitator.
Footage allegedly recorded by ICE agent Jonathan ‘Jon’ Ross shows how Renee Nicole Good (seen in her car) and her wife apparently taunted ICE agents before the fatal shooting
Blood splatter seen in Good’s SUV after the shooting
The new video comes after a conservative news outlet, Alpha News, released cellphone footage from the perspective of the agent who shot Good, who was later identified as Jonathan Ross.
The video shows him getting out of his vehicle and approaching Good’s SUV, which was sideways and partially blocking the street.
He then walks around the SUV, and like in the other videos posted to social media, it’s clear that Good initially went in reverse. As the car moves forward, the cellphone camera points up toward the sky as three shots are heard.
Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, said the video proved Good tried to run over the agent.
The FBI is leading the probe into the shooting that President Donald Trump and many members of his administration have deemed justified. They claim Ross was acting in self defense because she allegedly attempted to ram into him.
State and local prosecutors in Minnesota say the FBI is stonewalling them. Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty claimed during a Friday press conference that the FBI has not shared evidence with her office.
The Minneapolis Bureau of Criminal Apprehensions has said it is being barred from the crime scene, is not being given evidence and is not being permitted to conduct interviews.
The Department of Justice claimed it stopped cooperating with local detectives after Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said the idea that the ICE agent was defending himself from Good’s vehicle was ‘bull****.’
Frey also made headlines the day of the shooting, when he told ICE to ‘get the f*** out’ of his city.
