Jamaican Grammy-winning singer Gramps Morgan has saluted Ghana’s sensational Highlife/Hiplife star, King Paluta (born Thomas Adjei Wireko), for his exceptional musical talent.

On February 23, 2025, Paluta posted a snippet of the official YouTube visualiser for track 10, Magic, from his 13-track debut album, Give Time Some Time, on Instagram (IG).

In the comments, industry mates like Sista Afia and Dee Wills cheered him on.

On March 4, Gramps Morgan came into the comments, too, saying, “Much respect.”

The short message carried much weight given Gramps’ celebrated music gift and his experience and expertise in music. His comment also demonstrated the power of music to cross borders, breaking taste, language and cultural barriers, while appealing to diverse consumers.

In response, the multiple award-winning King Paluta said, “Legendary!! Thank you.”

In 2024, Paluta bagged two Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs) awards, Best New Artiste and Hiplife Song of the Year, after a 20-year effort to come into music success.

This year, the rapper, singer-songwriter and record producer is one of the favourites to lift the ultimate trophy, Artiste of the Year. Hiplife legend Okyeame Kwame has said he sees no one else the honour better suited.
