Renowned Ghanaian singer and composer Jackie Ankrah has unveiled a compelling anthem, ‘My Ghana, Your Ghana’, designed to inspire hope and foster a spirit of patriotism, peace, harmony, and unity among Ghanaians.

The song, described as a call to national pride, features an impressive line-up of celebrated gospel artistes and influential public figures.

This all-star presentation, led by Jackie Ankrah herself, showcases the exceptional vocal talents of Pastor Ella Somuah (ICGC), Minister Cwesi Oteng, Dr. Mary Ghansah, Diana Hopeson, Perez Musik, and Efe Grace.

As the composer, leader, and organizer, Jackie Ankrah brings together this diverse group of artistes to deliver a patriotic anthem of profound significance, particularly relevant in the context of Ghana’s December 2024 elections, though its message transcends the electoral period.

The project is a testament to the convening power of Shika Dimensions, the record label spearheaded by Jackie Ankrah. It also features a broader collaboration with seventeen influential Ghanaians and sixteen schoolchildren in the official video of the song.

This inclusivity underscores the anthem’s core message: Ghana is one nation, and unity is paramount despite political or social differences.

Among the notable participants are Rev. Edward Agyekum Kufuor, Prof. Patience Abor (Weigewor), Gloria Sarfo, Kafui Dey, Fiifi Folson, Gifty Anti, Sulemana Braimah, Fred Amugi, Roselyn Ngissah, Edinam Atatsi, and Portia Gabor, the 2021 Journalist of the Year.

The anthem’s video, directed by Lesley Osei Kwame and shot by Boblinkin, highlights iconic Ghanaian landmarks such as the Black Star Square, the Independence Arch, and the Unknown Soldier Monument. These visuals reinforce the song’s patriotic narrative while echoing UNESCO’s philosophy that peace begins in the mind and must guide humanity.

“Divergent views must not destroy the peace we now enjoy,” the anthem’s creators emphasize. ‘My Ghana, Your Ghana’ urges Ghanaians to come together, rise as one, and let peace prevail to ensure the nation’s continued growth and prosperity.

This anthem is a significant cultural contribution, reminding all Ghanaians of their shared identity and the importance of unity in safeguarding the country’s peace. With its powerful message and stellar lineup, ‘My Ghana, Your Ghana’ is set to resonate deeply with audiences across the nation and beyond.
