Southampton winger Kamaldeen Sulemana

Southampton winger, Kamaldeen Sulemana, has rejected claims of having a bad attitude, saying “he’s never disrespected anyone at the club,” amid concerns of lack of playing time.

The 22-year-old, who had been sidelined for a while, featured 86 minutes as the Saints lost 1-0 to Burnley to exit the FA Cup.

While his decision-making was questioned by manager Ivan Juric, the Ghanaian has been criticised for poor attitude- a claim he vehemently rejects.

“I felt like sometimes I was alone in a battle. I get a lot of stick, I get a lot of bad comments and some people question my character.”

“There are so many things I’ve seen out there, people think I’ve got an attitude problem and that’s the reason why I wasn’t playing.

“But I’ve never, ever disrespected anybody in the club. I’m always on time. When I’m on the pitch I work as hard as I can.”

Kamaldeen Sulemana has made 16 appearances in all competitions this campaign and has tallied a goal and two assists so far.
