The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, has addressed the nicknames people have given him such as the ‘TikTok Minister,’ ‘Football Minister,’ and ‘Entertainment Minister’, stating that he can count about 38 in total.

He made these statements while noting that he remains unperturbed by such labels.

“But I see them as normal because I have grown up with boys they are just teasing,” he explained in excerpts of an interview with Delay making rounds online on January 17, 2026.

‘I won’t leave social media today or tomorrow’ – Dr Frank Amoakohene to critics

Touching on the countless negative comments he has since received, Dr Amoakohene noted that some have occasionally been helpful, explaining that when he assumed office, certain remarks prompted him to keep extra clothes in his car for emergencies.

“I read comments a lot, even the negative ones, because I look for some truth in them to ensure the right thing is done,” he said.

He emphasised that not all negative comments reflect dislike, adding, that when no one talks about a person, it usually means they are not making any significant impact.
