Medeama SC head coach Nebojsa Kapor has praised Hearts of Oak as one of Africa’s most storied clubs, sharing his excitement about the upcoming showdown with the Phobians despite their current struggles.

Kapor acknowledged Hearts’ challenging start to the Ghana Premier League season, where they have recorded three losses, three draws, and only two wins out of eight matches, placing them eleventh on the table with nine points.

Meanwhile, Medeama, who sit in third place with 15 points, will host Hearts at the Tarkwa TNA Stadium for a week-nine clash on Friday, November 1, 2024.

“It’s a difficult situation for them. They didn’t start perfectly. But, you know, this match is always an excellent opportunity for any opponent because they are a very big team, one of the biggest in Africa,” Kapor said.

He added, “I’m always very happy when we play a match like this. It doesn’t matter where they stand on the table; it’s always an excellent match.”

Both teams head into this fixture aiming to return to winning form after Hearts fell to Bibiani GoldStars and Medeama drew away to Aduana Stars.
