The Public Relations Officer of Burniton Music Group, Vida Adutwumwaa, has stated that it would be in King Promise’s best interest to respond to Stonebwoy’s congratulatory message after winning the Artiste of the Year.
Stonebwoy, who was one of the leading contenders for the Artiste of the Year award at the 2025 TGMAs, lost out to King Promise.
Despite the outcome of the event, Stonebwoy took to X on May 12, 2025, to congratulate King Promise. In his message, he welcomed the “Paris” hitmaker into what he called “the league of winners.”
However, during an interview on Hitz FM on May 13, 2025, King Promise played down the congratulatory message. He said he had been told about it but didn’t think it was a big deal.
“I have been told about his congratulatory message. I don’t think it’s a big deal. I’ve responded to a few, but I haven’t been on X today. They were telling me about it, and I told them to cool down. It’s not a big deal,” King Promise said.
In response, Vida Adutwumwaa, speaking on the ‘Street is Watching’ podcast hosted by DJ Slim, said while Stonebwoy’s team does not expect a response from King Promise, it would actually be in King Promise’s best interest to acknowledge the message.
“We are not expecting him to respond. If he does, what will it change? It will rather benefit him if he responds. For us, we have extended our hand; whether it’s accepted or not is up to them,” she said.
