Kuami Eugene talks about leaving Lynx Entertainment Kuami Eugene talks about leaving Lynx Entertainment

Ghanaian highlife and afrobeats singer Kuami Eugene has finally opened up about his departure from Lynx Entertainment, saying the decision wasn’t a difficult one to make.

He revealed this in an interview on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, where he shared insights into the factors that influenced his exit from the label that nurtured his rise to fame.

When asked by the host whether it was tough leaving Lynx, Kuami Eugene responded, “It wasn’t so difficult to leave, because I wanted to tick some boxes first.”

He explained that he had to put certain things in place before stepping out on his own, including assembling a strong management team and securing the right support structures.

Kuami Eugene also noted that even though Lynx was handling some of those aspects already, he wanted to be fully prepared.

“I needed a good management team and a big distribution company to help me. That’s how I still have my playlist intact, even after leaving Lynx,” he added.

He also expressed deep gratitude to Richie Mensah, the CEO of Lynx Entertainment, for the support and blessings he gave before Eugene’s departure.

“That one was very important to me,” he said, highlighting the significance of Richie organizing a send-off party in his honor. Kuami Eugene believes he may be the first artist Richie has ever done that for.

Despite parting ways, Kuami Eugene stated that his bond with Lynx Entertainment remains strong, demonstrating that some departures can be graceful and rooted in mutual respect.
