Popular Ghanaian songstress Wendy Shay has opened up on the realities of being a woman in the entertainment industry, revealing that unwanted advances from men remain a common challenge, even for successful female artistes.

In an interview with Headless YouTuber on October 20, 2025, the “Uber Driver” singer was asked whether she still receives inappropriate offers from men despite her established brand and achievements.

Without hesitation, Wendy replied that such experiences are “very normal” for women.

“Of course. Once you’re a woman, that comes naturally. It’s very normal. It doesn’t stop,” she said.

She explained that attraction between men and women is a natural part of life that often extends into professional spaces, including the entertainment industry.

“The attraction between a male and a female is always there. As a woman, you just need to know what lies ahead of you. It’s a struggle, but you have to face it,” she added.

When asked how she handles such situations, Wendy Shay cited virtues like self-dignity and principles, advising ladies that while beauty can open doors, they shouldn’t make compromises.

“As a woman, you should know who you are and your values. Beauty can open doors for you, so make use of it, but never compromise your morals. Have principles and stick to them, no matter the circumstance,” she advised.
