The Burniton Music Group’s PR Manager, Vida Adutwumwaa, has strongly dismissed allegations made by Ghanaian DJ DJ Lord OTB that he was instructed to stop playing Shatta Wale’s songs during the recent Accravaganza Smooth Edition.

DJ Lord took to social media to express his frustration over what he described as an unfair directive at the event, which took place at Ghud Park, Accra Mall, on March 29, 2025.

According to him, while playing his set alongside Merqury Quaye, he added some Shatta Wale tracks to his playlist.

However, he alleged that his set was suddenly interrupted when a top board official of the show, acting on behalf of Stonebwoy’s management, instructed him to stop playing Shatta Wale’s songs immediately.

DJ Lord condemned the interference, stating that no headline act should have the authority to dictate a DJ’s song selection when the artist in question is not performing.

He also accused artist management teams of overstepping their boundaries and undermining the contributions of DJs and MCs at major events.

However, reacting to the allegations, Vida Adutwumwaa denied that Stonebwoy had anything to do with such an order.

Speaking in an interview with DJ Slim on Street Is Watching, she stated categorically that DJ Lord’s claims were false.

According to her, Stonebwoy was too busy rehearsing for his performance that night to even concern himself with what songs were being played by the DJs.

Vida also emphasized that Stonebwoy has always supported other artists, and as proof, he even shared his stage with young acts like Larruso, Cina Soul, and his special guest from Jamaica during his performance at Accravaganza.

She further challenged DJ Lord to name the specific person from Stonebwoy’s camp who allegedly stopped him from playing Shatta Wale’s songs, insisting that such claims were baseless and misleading.

The Accravaganza Smooth Edition, sponsored by Guinness, brought together some of Ghana’s finest DJs and performers, including Kojo Manuel, DrewD, Merqury Quaye, Michael Nichols, Mz Orstin, DJ Minnow, DJ Sleek, DJ Justice, and DJ Lord.
