Newly appointed Ghana’s Tourism Ambassador for Shea Butter, Hamamat Montia, has revealed the huge impact American streamer IShowSpeed’s visit has had on her business and the promotion of Ghanaian culture.
Speaking at her ceremony at the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, Hamamat noted that her Shea Butter Museum has been swamped with calls since the visit.
According to her, the overwhelming turnout has compelled her to seek partners to help attend to clients.

“To be honest, we are overwhelmed. We are getting calls from all around the world. Our spa is fully booked. We cannot even serve all the people who are coming.
“So, we are asking for partners. We are asking for support because this is what Ghana is about. Right now, the world is looking at us, and if we prepare, we can definitely serve a global audience,” she said.

The founder of the Shea Butter Museum also shared how the Ghana Tourism Authority can generate revenue from IShowSpeed’s visit, noting that the world’s attention is currently focused on Ghanaian cultural heritage.
“It was symbolic. It showed the world the power, beauty, and dignity of African tradition. What they saw was not just entertainment; it was our heritage. If we truly choose Ghana, Ghana can become a global hub for skincare. Shea butter and black soap alone can create a lot of jobs. The world consumes these in high quantities,” she added.
