Kwaw Kese shared a close working and personal relationship with Fennec Okyere
In March 2014, the entertainment industry was shaken by the murder of Fennec Okyere, CEO of Madtime Entertainment and former manager of rapper Kwaw Kese.
Nearly twelve years on, his murder at his Manet residence remains unresolved.
The loss has continued to weigh heavily on his family, close associates and industry colleagues, especially Kwaw Kese, who shared a close working and personal relationship with him.
For many of them, closure can only come when those responsible are identified and brought to justice, a development that appears distant.
Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM on February 16, 2026, Kwaw Kese was asked whether he had received any recent updates from the police regarding investigations into his former manager’s death.
He responded that he had not. According to him, the last information he received indicated that the case had been closed.

Kwaw Kese expressed hope that authorities would reconsider and reopen the matter, insisting that cases involving loss of life should not be abandoned.
“The police said they have even closed the case. The last time, that was what I heard. I am hoping they bring it back because investigation should never die. They should investigate because it’s death,” Kwaw Kese said.
Fennec Okyere was killed on March 13, 2014, when unidentified assailants reportedly broke into his home and attacked him.
Over the years, no one has been successfully prosecuted for the crime. In 2014, artiste manager Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bullgod, was arrested by the Homicide Unit of the Police Criminal Investigative Department after he was identified as a suspect in the case.
At the time, the then CID Public Relations Officer, DSP Joseph Darkwah, stated that Bullgod had allegedly made several threats against the deceased.
However, Bullgod was released after the then Attorney-General, Gloria Akuffo, announced that the state would no longer pursue prosecution in connection with the alleged murder.
