Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), winners of the 2026 University of Ghana Corporate Football League, opened their campaign in commanding fashion with a confident 2-0 victory over Lancaster Accra on February 13, 2026, at the University of Ghana Stadium.

From kick-off, GCAA played with purpose and intensity, pressing high and launching wave after wave of attacks.

Their early dominance paid off in the first half when Gideon Kamasah broke through Lancaster’s defence to score the opening goal. Shortly after, Kofi Aboagye was awarded a penalty, which he calmly converted to give GCAA a 2-0 lead heading into halftime.

The champions displayed clinical finishing and strong attacking coordination, leaving their opponents struggling to respond.

In the second half, GCAA adjusted their approach, tightening their defensive structure and controlling the tempo of the game.

Their disciplined backline ensured Lancaster found no way back into the match, as the defending champions protected their advantage with composure.

At the final whistle, GCAA sealed a solid 2-0 victory — the perfect start to their title defence and an early statement to the rest of the league.

With such an assured performance in the opening game, GCAA have once again positioned themselves as serious contenders, sending a clear message across the competition: the champions are focused and ready.
