Life comes at you fast.

Whether you’re attempting to rob an opticians, spitting on the ground, or throwing litter at an ostrich, karma is bound to take her revenge one way or another.

Back in 2022, justice was swiftly served to a woman-beater after he chased her down and grabbed her in the street – before a bus-full of passengers heroically intervened.

And in 2019, one crook was caught launching a brick at a car – only for it to ricochet back into his face in footage that left social media in stitches.

But its not just humans that strike back when faced with injustice.

Animals riled up and teased have also been known to snap and launch counterattacks to get their own payback.

A woman in Morocco who was filmed tossing rubbish at a huge, wild ostrich, suffered the consequences of her actions when it snapped back and tackled her to the ground.

With scores constantly being settled across the globe, karmic revenge goes just a step further when it is all caught on video to be remembered forever.

Crook hit with brick he threw at car

In a quick sequence of events, video captured the moment a man threw a brick at a car – only to have it bounce off and strike him in the face.

A security camera at the home of Brit Martin Craig picked up the bizarre occurrence outside his home in Brandon, Durham, in 2019.

The crook, seen wearing all black with his hood up, looked around before picking up a nearby brick and launching it to try to break into the car.

Martin uploaded a video of the scene and was shocked to find it collect thousands of views.

‘Cracker! What karma! Talk about bricking it!’, one viewer joked.

Martin told Metro that his Citroen Berlingo only suffered a few scratches, and said the clip left him in hysterics.

Robbery gone wrong

Two men suspected of trying to rob an opticians in Chiswick, West London, had their comeuppance when the police arrived to find them stuffing designer sunglasses into bags.

The Eye Studio Opticians caught the whole exchange on a Ring doorbell camera inside the store, documenting how the men broke the glass to enter before appearing to loot the stands.

But within moments, police were seen arriving on the scene to storm the shop.

They pointed tasers at the two men and told them to get on the ground. Police did not have to discharge the tasers.

The men were arrested after ‘an attempt to steal thousands of pounds worth of sunglasses’ from the store, local media reported

A spokesperson for the Met Police stated: ‘On Tuesday 30th April at 04:22 hours, police were called to Chiswick High Road, W4, to reports of people smashing up a shop at the location.’

‘On police arrival, it was believed that a burglary had occurred and two males were detained inside the location.’

The men were arrested at the scene for the offence of burglary and charged, before being remanded in custody awaiting trial.

Motorbike madness

A brazen thief in Indonesia was seen getting onto the scooter and fiddling with the controls before backing out onto the street.

He turned the bike around and rode down the brick path before video cut to another angle, showing the security barrier slam down.

The thief was seen in the next frame colliding dramatically with the bar as it lowered.

As the barrier shakes and the scooter falls onto its side, the driver ragdolls backwards off the bike and slumps on the floor.

With his legs above his head, the thief tries to pull himself to his feet but is soon apprehended by security guards.

They are later seen picking the bike up and securing it, job done.

Passengers bravely intervene to stop robber attacking woman

Surveillance cameras captured the horrifying moment a man in a football shirt chased down and grabbed a woman as she walked alone along a road in Brazil.

The clip from Itabira, Brazil, received international attention in 2022, speaking to the dangers still faced by solo travellers and women in the region.

The woman was seen struggling as she backed away from the man into the road. He persisted, holding onto her.

As she broke away, he continued to pursue her, adopting an aggressive stance.

The woman was only saved when a bus full of passengers comes around the corner.

‘A bus that was transporting travellers stopped in the street when it approached the scene,’ CNN Español reported.

Lout slips in own spit

A grim video circling on social media last year showed justice being served as a man spat on a stone floor before slipping over in his own phlegm.

Footage from inside a well decorated building showed the man pausing for a moment while walking through a corridor and hunching his back to gob on the floor.

A man behind him, on the phone, slowed down to avoid a collision, just as the lout trod in his own mess and was sent flying.

In an instant, the man spitting slid across the floor, legs apart, falling to one knee before collapsing in a heap on the floor.

The man behind him could only watch on in shock, taking two steps back as processed what he had just seen.

Bird brain attacks ostrich, quickly regrets it

A woman who threw litter at an ostrich quickly came to regret it when the bird chased her down and attacked.

The video – apparently shot in Morocco from vehicles in the scene – began with a woman in a car park approaching the large bird with an arm raised.

She then proceeded to launch an unidentified white object at it.

The bird, enraged, immediately puffed out its wings and began chasing her through the dusty streets.

The woman looked back at the pursuing ostrich as she routed, but would have soon realised she was not fast enough to evade it.

Ostriches, after all, are the fastest running bird, capable of hitting speeds of up to 45mph.

She suddenly tripped or was tripped by the huge feathered animal, which launched itself to tackle her to the ground.

The cameraman circled to find the woman picking herself up, the ostrich backing off having settled the score.

Rickshaw rolls after driver lashes out at cyclist

A shocking clip shared online this week showed the moment an autorickshaw rolled over after the driver reached out of the cabin to hit a cyclist.

The driver in Kadayanallur, India was seen wobbling down a narrow street with a cyclist by his side.

It was unclear from the static camera if something had happened beforehand to provoke him.

But as he passed the cyclist on the right, he seized the opportunity to reach out and swipe at the cyclist, who seemed to avoid the attack entirely.

The vehicle veered to the right as the attack unfolded, heading directly towards a number of parked vehicles.

As the driver sharply jolted the rickshaw, it flipped over onto its side, bouncing up and down as the cyclist carried on unbothered.

An onlooker was seen watching the scene unfold, clutching his head as the vehicle crashed.
