Ghana international Inaki Williams delivered an outstanding performance as Athletic Bilbao triumphed over Girona in the Spanish La Liga on Saturday, February 8, 2024.

The Black Stars forward started and played the entire duration of the match as his outfit cruised to an emphatic victory at the San Mamés Barria. Williams played a pivotal role by providing an assist, contributing to his team’s 3-0 victory over Girona in the matchday 23 clash.

Athletic Bilbao took the lead in the fiercely competitive contest with Spain international Oihan Sancet scoring from the spot in the 42nd-minute mark. Three minutes later, the forward grabbed his second goal of the match, ensuring his outfit went into the halftime break with a two-goal advantage.

The home team demonstrated their dominance over Girona, with Oihan Sancet completing his hat-trick after connecting with a pass from the Ghanaian international forward in the 79th minute.

The 30-year-old Ghanaian striker has been outstanding for Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish La Liga this season, scoring four goals and delivering six assists in 21 games.

In all competitions, the former Spain international has racked up eight goals and provided seven assists in 32 matches.
