    Ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale has expressed his deep admiration for his fellow musician Vybz Kartel, describing him as “an angel” in the eyes of many Africans.

    Shatta Wale shared this sentiment during his performance at the Freedom Street Concert in Jamaica on December 31, 2024.

    The performance became an emotional moment for Shatta Wale, who paused to kneel in gratitude to Vybz Kartel.

    “Thank you so much. I’ve never performed in Jamaica before. This is my first time. I’ve always wished to perform with you on stage. God bless you, Jamaica, I love you,” he said

    According to Shatta Wale, Vybz Kartel enjoys immense love and respect on the streets of Africa, a level of devotion that he finds almost unimaginable.

    He also expressed excitement and gratitude for sharing the stage with the legendary artiste.

    “I am coming all the way from Africa to support this man. This man is like an angel in Africa. Vybz in flesh and soul, love you so much, Daddy,” Shatta Wale told the crowd

    The Ghanaian musician further sent a message of unity and support from Africa to Jamaica.

    “Before I leave here, I just want to tell you that we Africans love Jamaicans and we support Jamaican music. So, everywhere you are, know that Ghana supports Jamaican music.”

    Vybz Kartel responded to Shatta Wale, stating that the culture of Jamaica is loved worldwide. He also hailed Shatta as the king of dancehall in Africa.
