Former Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richard Attah has made a strong statement about his dominance in Ghanaian football stating he’s been the best in the Ghanaian topflight over the past decade.
The 31-year-old shot-stopper confidently declared that no other goalkeeper can match his record of success in the last ten years in the Ghana Premier League.
Attah was instrumental in Hearts of Oak’s historic 2020/21 league triumph and FA Cup double, producing several outstanding performances, most notably his heroics in the penalty shootout during the 2021 FA Cup final against AshantiGold SC.
“I am not bragging, but on record in the last ten years there has been no keeper. I am not lying. I have won everything. Even Kotoko has never scored me before,” Attah told Mo TV.
The bulky goalkeeper joined Hearts of Oak from Elmina Sharks after an impressive two-year spell and quickly established himself among the top goalkeepers in the Ghana Premier League before leaving the Phobians in 2024 following a dip in form.
The experienced goalkeeper later signed for Port City FC in the Division One League, where he played a key role in the club’s successful promotion to the Ghana Premier League and currently serves as their assistant goalkeepers’ trainer.
