Ghanaian musician Peter Famiyeh Bozah, known by his stage name Fameye, says he is ready to win next year’s Artiste of the Year accolade based on his efforts in the year under review.

The award-winning singer continues to top music charts with his “Very Soon” single, which has racked up over 10 million streams across various streaming platforms, coupled with numerous dance challenges on TikTok.

Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Fameye said he had avoided conversations about the “Artiste of the Year” award in the past but believes it was time to win it now.

“I believe I have worked very hard in the year having consistently dropped good songs and videos coupled with the numerous features.

“Normally, when people tell me about the Artiste of the Year category in the past, I often say I am not ready for it yet. But this time around I think I deserve to be nominated and perhaps go ahead to win it,” he said.

Fameye also thanked his fans, who he says have been crucial to his development as an artiste over the years, appreciating what they do for him both online and offline.

He also highlighted plans of dropping a new album, which would probably be early next year.

Fameye has had a remarkable year, dropping back-to-back hits including “Sober,” “June July,” “Dr Likee,” and many more.
