Reality TV star and media personality Mercy Eke has said she is fully prepared to become a mother even if she is not married.

In a recent interview, the former Big Brother Naija winner revealed that she feels confident raising children independently and is willing to have as many as three kids on her own.

“I wanted to have a baby this year, but something happened, and I had to choose between having a baby and something else. I don’t want to get married, I have worked so hard, I think I can take care of myself, I can take care of three kids. I am a goal-oriented person; I always set goals for myself. I currently have one more thing I want to achieve. Once I get that, I will have my baby, and I want three girls,” She said.

Mercy explained that marriage is not a priority at the moment, noting that she has yet to meet the right partner.

The media personality also spoke about societal attitudes toward having children outside wedlock, arguing that stigma is often directed at those who lack financial stability.

She said her circumstances allow her the freedom to make decisions that work best for her without fear of judgment.

Despite her openness to becoming a single mother, Mercy stressed that she still believes in love and remains hopeful that she will eventually find a suitable partner.
