Ghanaian music sensation Black Sherif has emphasized his status as one of the finest performers to emerge from his homeland.

In an interview with international fashion magazine Patta, the 2023 BET International Act winner reflected on what makes a performance truly great.

For him, it’s not just about choreography or flashy stagecraft; it’s about emotional delivery.

“There are some things about performing that you have to learn, even if you’re born with talent. When I watch people like Kendrick Lamar, their performances feel like an emotional roller coaster.

“Some songs don’t need dancing; they just need to be felt. You get more from watching the artiste express it through gestures and facial expressions,” he explained.

Black Sherif admitted that he doesn’t see himself as a great speaker, but emphasized that his strength lies in nonverbal communication.

“I love all of that because I don’t think I’m a good speaker, but I’m super talented in nonverbal communication. That’s why I believe I’m one of the best performers from where I’m from,” he added.

Known for his raw energy and deep storytelling, Black Sherif has become one of Africa’s most captivating live acts, thrilling fans worldwide with his electrifying stage presence.
