Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, has said he doesn’t mind being in an open marriage.
Speaking on a recent episode of the In My Opinion podcast, Blaqbonez explained that many married couples experience dwindling intimacy over time due to a lack of sexual exploration with other people.
According to him, it is acceptable for a married person to be intimate with someone else when their spouse is not available.
He stated that having an extramarital affair alone doesn’t necessarily mean someone else can take the place of a spouse in a person’s life.
He said, “I don’t mind having an open marriage. Most married couples don’t keep having the same amount of sex they had at the beginning; it reduces. If somebody is satisfying her sexually while I’m hustling, touring, and not available to be intimate with her all the time, that’s okay. There’s more to marriage than sex. I don’t mind that you’re sleeping with someone else, provided you’re dedicated to me.
“It would be difficult for a random person to match what I bring to the table. Nobody is just going to get her sexually and also mentally addicted to them. They probably can’t make her laugh the way I do. If I’m even going to get married, I need two rooms. My wife and I will only meet when we want to have intimacy.”
