Veteran Ghanaian gospel music icon, Esther Smith, has sent fans buzzing after openly declaring her love for afrobeats artiste Lasmid.

According to her, she is one of Lasmid’s biggest fans in the country.

Speaking on the Kobby Kyei Live podcast, the celebrated musician couldn’t hide her excitement as she spoke about the young hitmaker, revealing that she has been closely following his journey and is eager to meet him.

“There is this new guy in town; he is called Lasmid. I am looking for him. I am his biggest fan,” she said.

Esther Smith was quick to name ‘Olivia’ as her favourite Lasmid song, praising its catchy melody and overall appeal.

“His Olivia song is really my favourite,” she added.

In a heartwarming moment captured on video, the gospel musician was seen singing along word-for-word to Olivia during a video call with Lasmid, visibly fangirling as she expressed pure joy and excitement over the phone.

The video has garnered admiration and comments from netizens, who applauded the beautiful crossover between musicians from both the gospel and secular fraternity.
