Ghanaian journalist and Guinness World Record singathon contender Afua Asantewaa has revealed that she is currently facing several spiritual challenges.

Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM on November 6, 2025, Afua said she believes some of the issues she is experiencing may have a spiritual dimension.

“If it’s spiritual, I’ll have to fight a lot, and of course, I’m already fighting a lot right now. Spiritually, I may have to tackle it from that angle,” she stated.

She added that she also plans to address the situation physically.

“Physically, I may have to report it from that angle as well. It’s not something I can discuss online, but I am a very realistic person,” she noted.

When asked whether these spiritual battles were related to her Guinness World Record attempt, Afua said it was possible.

“Literally, it cuts across. There’s an institution that handles the Guinness World Record, and if they say I don’t deserve it, that’s fine. Whether it’s spiritual, I leave it to God,” she added.
