The Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, has insisted that he remains in control and is confident of increasing his votes if elections were held today.

Speaking during a panel discussion on UTV’s United Showbiz on October 4, 2025, the outspoken legislator stated that no one can intimidate or threaten him, as he continues to work for the people of Gomoa Central.

A-Plus sets the record straight on Kennedy Agyapong sponsorship rumours

“I am not an MP that you can threaten…Recently, I paid GH¢57,000 for BECE students, and some people are saying this year the children failed more. But that is not my business because after paying such an amount, I cannot go and sit in the exam hall and write the papers for them.”

He emphasised that his commitment to supporting education in his constituency remains unwavering, even though he believes ultimate academic success depends on the students themselves.

A Plus also expressed confidence in his popularity and performance, stating that his connection with the people of Gomoa Central gives him a clear advantage over any potential challenger.

“I am in full control at Gomoa Central because if elections were to be held today, I would win more votes than I did in the previous elections,” he said.
