Nadia Nakai is a rapper and TV host

Rapper and TV host Nadia Nakai, who was the girlfriend of late South African rapper AKA, has said that she no longer has any interest in dating rappers or anyone in the entertainment industry.

In an interview with Fresh Men Magazine, Nadia explained that she now values privacy in her personal life and does not want her relationships in the public eye.

She explained that her decision is not just about romance but also about protecting herself from unnecessary intrusions.

“I would not date another rapper, I would not date anybody in the industry ever again, purely because of the fact that I’ve always been like… everyone makes fun of me, of how, ‘oh Nani, you always like TikTok girlfriend,’ like you want to do TikToks with your boyfriend, but I never want to do that again.

“I want to have a very private relationship, don’t want it to be public. I didn’t like having to explain my pain to strangers at the airport, so no, I don’t want to explain nonsense to people on social media. I’ll never date a rapper, I’ll never date anybody that’s in the public eye for me,” she said.

Nadia also spoke about a personal setback that left her shaken: being betrayed by someone she trusted.

She recalled how she gave her car to a person she considered almost like family, only to later discover that they were misusing her trust for personal gain.

I will not date anyone in the music industry – Gyakie

“I trusted somebody that I realised I shouldn’t have trusted, which really broke my heart, because I really trusted this person like a family member, and obviously I handed over my vehicle to them, and then they were renting out the V-Class when I wasn’t using it for work.

“All of a sudden, my car got stolen, they rented it out to people that weren’t supposed to, or weren’t giving authentic paperwork or something, and took my car and (sic) with it,” she recounted.
