Ghanaian dancehall musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has expressed dissatisfaction with industry players for not supporting his craft despite his numerous achievements.
In a post shared on X on April 7, 2025, Shatta Wale noted that his music has been breaking boundaries recently, citing his collaboration with Jamaican musician Vybz Kartel and his win at the 2025 International Reggae and Dancehall awards.
He emphasised that this is a great opportunity for Ghanaians, especially music lovers, to tap into his blessings.
However, he said Ghanaians are not supporting his efforts.
Shatta Wale added that if Ghanaians don’t want him to succeed in the music industry, they won’t succeed in their various fields either.
“This is a big opportunity for Ghana but as usual, agenda must agend cuz it’s Shatta Wale… But imagine every musician and stakeholder taps into this great international artiste’s blessings on Shatta Wale… If deh no go make ago, dem too dem no go” he wrote in pidgin English.
Shatta Wale‘s comment follows a tweet from a fan who observed that Ghanaians are not taking advantage of the support Vybz Kartel has been giving Shatta Wale over the past months.
