The Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has urged a team of young Ghanaian creatives to represent the country well as they embark on a cultural exchange tour in Poland.

Speaking during a courtesy call at the Ministry in Accra, the minister commended Thomas Fynn, Ghana’s Photographic Tourism Ambassador, for creating opportunities for young people in the creative sector, particularly in photography.

“Mr Fynn has always been committed to supporting the next generation. When he approached the ministry about this project, I saw it as a way to highlight photography, which doesn’t always get the attention it deserves.

“I hope this opens more doors. Travel well, represent Ghana with pride, and return to share your experiences. If you don’t come back, you block the opportunity for others,” she said.

The team’s departure marks the launch of the Ghana-Poland Photographic Collaboration, a cultural initiative led by Polish photographer Mr. Wojciech Zaremba in partnership with Fynn.

The collaboration includes exhibitions and cultural engagements in Poland, with a focus on photography as a tool for storytelling and cultural exchange.

The delegation includes three young Ghanaian photographers: Mary Ama Odurowaa Sarkodie, Theophilus Seth Opoku, and Ernestina Fynn. Their participation reflects Ghana’s support for youth development and international collaboration in the arts.

The project is organised by The Kownketsia Foundation and FYNNexhibits Limited, with support from the Ministry.
