Artiste manager for Shatta Wale, Sammy Flex

Sammy Flex, the artiste manager for Shatta Wale, has responded to recent threats from the musician’s mother, Elsie Avemegah, amid the heated controversy over a 3-bedroom house.

In a video shared online, Sammy Flex responded sarcastically to the threats made by Shatta Wale’s mother, who had claimed she would take him to the Volta Region.

He made light of the situation, stating that if the truth had to be revealed through any deity, he wish her well.

“There are some things in this industry that you need to be bold and speak about. The truth is always one. If the truth needs to travel to Atiave, we wish it a safe journey until we meet again in paradise,” Sammy Flex said, implying that if the truth required any spiritual intervention, it is not his concern.

Sammy Flex also clarified that his role was simply to present the property to her and never stated that it had been bought for her.

“In the evening, after the story went viral, stating that I was lying about the building we had bought for Mama Elsie, I received a voice note from her threatening that I would die and more. Initially, I thought I was the only one who received it, but then I saw it on social media urging me to come forward and tell the truth.

“So here I am, telling the truth. My truth in this whole situation is that I simply presented the building to the woman, as part of the instructions I received from my boss. It was the woman who went to church to testify that her son had bought her a house, not me. If she’s asking me to come online and say the truth, then what she said in church is the truth,” he added.

Background

In July 2024, reports emerged that Shatta Wale’s mother, Elsie Avemegah, had been living in difficult conditions, allegedly due to “ten years of neglect” by her son. This development has since sparked public criticism.

In a recent response to the backlash, Sammy Flex, Shatta Wale’s manager, took to social media on December 3, 2024, announcing that the musician had bought a house for his mother.

But on December 4, 2024, Elsie Avemegah publicly denied this claim, clarifying that the property in question was rented, not purchased.
