One person was left injured following an interaction with Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in New York City on Thursday.

New York City police announced on social media that federal agents were involved in a shooting just after 4pm in the Marble Hill section of the Bronx.

The shooting involved ICE agents who fired at a man at 2 Marble Hill Avenue, according to the New York Post. 

The unidentified individual was then rushed to the hospital, where police officers said they are conscious and receiving medical attention. 

His wounds are not considered life-threatening, law enforcement sources told the Post. 

It remains unclear what led up to the shooting.
