    Ghanaian international Ibrahim Ayew has officially announced his departure from Gibraltar side Lincoln Red Imps after a successful three-year stay with the club.

    The experienced Ghanaian defender confirmed his exit through social media, bringing an end to a memorable spell that saw him win five trophies and make 73 appearances for the club.

    During his time with Lincoln Red Imps, Ayew helped the club secure three league titles and two Rock Cups while also playing a role in their historic European campaigns.

    In his farewell message, the former Black Stars player expressed gratitude to the club and supporters for the memorable journey. “It was a wonderful 3 years with this amazing club, 3 league titles and 2 Rock Cup made history in Europe. Thank you Lincoln Red Imps,” he wrote.

    The 38-year-old has enjoyed a long football career, previously featuring for clubs such as Asante Kotoko, Zamalek SC and Europa FC among others.

    Ibrahim Ayew represented Ghana at all youth levels and also made seven appearances for the Black Stars. He was part of Ghana’s squad for both the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
