Ghanaian entertainer Yaa Jackson has made it clear she won’t bend to public expectations or tame her bold style just to fit in. Unmoved by critics, the actress-turned-singer says staying authentic is non-negotiable in a world that constantly demands conformity.

In a recent interview with Graphic Showbiz, Yaa Jackson addressed the ongoing chatter around her fashion choices, dismissing the criticism with calm conviction.

“Oh, the comments! I’m not worried about what people say about my style. Fashion is subjective, and I’m all about being true to myself. If people love it, great! If not, that’s okay too,” she said, affirming that her daring looks are deliberate and deeply personal.

She emphasized that the real her isn’t always what the public sees: “I won’t change for someone else’s idea of style. Besides, on an ordinary day, you will not see Yaa Jackson dressed like that,” she added.

Yaa, who rose to fame as a child actress in Kumawood, has successfully expanded her reach into music, an art form she says allows her even greater emotional expression.

“Honestly, I love both music and acting. I think they’re both forms of storytelling, just in different ways. Right now, I’m leaning more towards music because it allows me to express myself in a personal and raw way. However, I will continue to explore both passions,” she told Graphic Showbiz.

Now with a new single out titled Moses, released on June 6, 2025, the multi-talented star is shifting focus toward spreading joy and hope through her sound.

“My new single is all about spreading love. It’s titled Moses, and it’s a fusion of R&B and Afrobeat. The song is out now, and the video will be dropping soon on YouTube,” she revealed.
