Veteran gospel musician Edward Akwasi Boateng has announced that he will take the advice of fellow gospel artiste Diana Asamoah and venture into the ride-hailing business.

The celebrated musician made headlines in 2024 after opening up about his struggles in recent years, revealing that no one in the gospel music industry had shown concern for his plight.

Following public concern about his financial situation, Prophet ElBernard Nelson Eshun donated a Toyota sedan to him.

In response, Diana Asamoah advised him to consider using the vehicle for Uber services to earn a steady income. Her suggestion, however, sparked a public disagreement, with Edward initially rejecting the idea.

Fast forward to the present, the “Makoma So Ade” singer has had a change of heart.

In an interview with Tony Best on Akoma Mmre on Akoma FM on June 18, 2025, Edward Akwasi Boateng announced that he is now ready to heed Diana Asamoah’s advice, though not with the Toyota sedan, but with a Honda also gifted to him by Prophet ElBernard.

“It is only a fool who does not listen to advice. I’ve accepted Diana Asamoah’s suggestion, and I plan to use the Honda for Uber services soon,” he said.

He added that his Uber model will be unique, focusing on high-profile individuals.

“I won’t be picking random passengers. I’ll be targeting specific clients-wedding grooms and brides, funerals, and guests at special events,” he explained.
