Independent MP-elect for Gomoa Central A Plus

Independent MP-elect for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, has indicated that he will adhere to the promises he made to his constituents in the coming days.

In an interview with UTV, shared by Gh Page on December 10, 2024, A Plus noted that he will reclaim all lands seized from some members of his constituents.

“Before I went to the contest, I had done my research to see if they preferred the sitting MP or not. So after the team had conducted the research, we got to know that 70 plus people didn’t like the sitting MP. So we knew what the people wanted, and it was land issues. Some people have seized their lands for a long time so this week I am going to do some biggest actions that they have not seen before.

“All the lands that have been seized over the years, I am going to retrieve all of them and establish that all those areas belong to us,” he said.

When asked how he was able to gunner enough votes to become victorious in the elections, A Plus noted that he did a needs assessment on his constituency to identify their problems.

“When we started the campaign, I told my people what I was going to do but Afenyo-Markin and his people were trying to dispute it. We also know there are no good roads in Gomoa Central the only good road there is full of potholes. So I knew the roads were their issues and as we did a needs assessment on the people, we also got to know that they lacked toilet facilities. So that is what we used as our campaign message and it has worked,” he added.
