Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara

Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara remains tight-lipped about his team’s title aspirations despite their victory over Holy Stars.

Although Hearts of Oak trail the league leaders by just one point, Ouattara refuses to get carried away, insisting that it is too early to discuss winning the league.

However, the Ivorian tactician stated that he would be able to provide a definitive answer after the final matchday of the season.

“If you ask me whether we will win the league, I can only answer that on June 8,” he told AFA Sports Channel.

“Our next game is against Dreams FC, and that’s another tough challenge. We will prepare well for it,” he added.

The Phobians showcased dominance at the University of Ghana Stadium, securing a 2-0 win on Saturday, March 8, 2025.

Goals from Michael Awuah Mensah and Hamza Issah sealed the crucial victory, pushing their points tally to 36.

Following the win, Hearts of Oak now sit in third place on the league table with 36 points, just one point behind arch-rivals and league leaders Asante Kotoko.
