The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Tourism Development Company Limited, Professor Kobby Mensah, has recounted how he was removed from office after participating in a protest against the Akufo-Addo administration.

In an interview with Adom FM, shared on Facebook on April 3, 2025, Kobby Mensah explained that he got involved in the demonstration because he disagreed with some of the policies implemented at the time.

“I was sacked after I demonstrated against some policies but they were not happy so they sacked me. Yes, It was public record, it was not something that was a secret,” he added.

His statements have since caused a stir online, reigniting discussions around the assertion that the previous Akufo-Addo administration was intolerant.

President John Dramani Mahama on Thursday 30, 2025 appointed Professor Kobby Mensah as the Ghana Tourism Development Company Limited (GTDC).
