Ghanaian Kumawood movie producer and actress, Joyce Boakye, has recounted how he was influenced by some individuals to abuse people on social media.

In an interview with Emelia Brobbey on March 10, 2025, Joyce Boakye noted that she was naïve and didn’t understand what show business entails.

“I was new to social media and people around would come to me and tell me to say some certain thing for trends. Sometimes, people around me tell me some of the abusive words I use on social media are from people.

“You know Miracle Films taught us how to insult but there are insults that I say on social media that are written by people. I thought it would pay off because I wanted the attention,” she said.

She, however, apologised to the people she has faulted.

“Sometimes I regret the words I said on social media. I wish I could delete them but it is not possible. There are things that I have said and done on social media, and I am begging people I have faulted to forgive me for my utterances,” she added.
