Kwaw Kese has talked about the June 2025 confrontation with police that prompted his viral post accusing officers of humiliating him in public.

During an interview with Hitz FM, the Ghanaian rapper recalled being stopped and searched by police along Spintex Road for what they described as a “routine road check.” What followed, he said, was an ordeal that lasted nearly half an hour.

“They initially greeted me jovially and informed me they were having a routine search. I said ‘no problem.’

“They started searching, they searched every part of my car, my bags, even me. For over 30 minutes! Meanwhile other cars were passing by and were not being stopped,” he recounted.

Kwaw Kese said the incident left him frustrated and feeling unfairly targeted.

“There are good police officers. But the bad ones are tarnishing the image. I was frustrated. It felt like hatred. Like I was being singled out. So, I had to come online to complain about it,” he said.

He added that while many officers are professional and courteous, a few ruin the image of the entire service.

“These are some of the police officers putting a bad name on the service. I’ve also met other police officers who were good and nice to me,” Kwaw Kese stated.
