    Ghanaian actress and socialite, Rosemond Brown popularly known as Akuapem Poloo has opened up about her decision to convert to Islam.

    Speaking on interview on TV3 with Giovanni Caleb on October 14, 2025, Poloo stated that she believes her connection to Islam was part of her destiny.

    “Islam religion is a religion that I’ve been destined to part. I remember my childhood, all my friends were Muslims” she said.

    She continued, “My grandfather was a Jehovah witness and because I wasn’t on my own, I couldn’t convert. My baby daddy is still a Muslim and my son is a Muslim too.”

    When asked about the significance of the attire worn by Muslim women, she explained that modest dressing is not limited to religion.

    “Putting Islamic religion aside, a woman is supposed to cover all part of the body” she added.
