Socialite and entrepreneur Rose Gold has addressed longstanding public speculation about her relationship with businessman Nana Prempeh, stating that when they began dating, she was not certain he was married.

In an interview on The Delay Show, the Rose Gold Luxury Boutique founder said she was 17 when the relationship began, and Prempeh was in his 30s.

“I wasn’t sure if he had a wife or not. I only knew he wasn’t wearing a ring,” she told Delay. “Even if he had told me he wasn’t married, I wouldn’t have believed him, so I didn’t bother to ask.”

Rose Gold said she met Prempeh at age 16 while working at her mother’s shop in Tafo. According to her, he left the country shortly after and returned over a year later, when they reconnected and began a romantic relationship.

She said she found out about his marital status about a year into the relationship and informed her mother. “She advised me not to cross the path of the other woman. It’s not like she supported it, but I didn’t give her a reason to be worried.”

Delay posed a hypothetical scenario, asking how Rose Gold would react if her future daughter were in a similar situation. She responded: “I’ll advise her the same way my mother advised me. I’ll weigh her level of understanding and the man’s intentions.”

When asked about reports that Nana Prempeh had a child with another woman following the passing of his wife, Rose Gold said she had no knowledge of it. “I haven’t seen that. I haven’t heard it. He hasn’t told me,” she said.

“If it’s true, I will still be Rose Gold,” she added. “When the time is right, what will happen will happen.”
