Broda Sammy with the lady at Daddy Lumba's one week Broda Sammy with the lady at Daddy Lumba’s one week

Gospel musician Broda Sammy has responded to public backlash following his performance at the one-week observation for Daddy Lumba where he brought a lady with a voluminous backside on stage.

In an interview on United Showbiz on September 6, 2025, Broda Sammy explained that the woman was a musician introduced by Dr Likee who he was mentoring.

He shared that she had joined him at media interviews, and later acted as a backup singer during his performance at the event.

“The lady is a musician. She usually works with Dr Likee, so he introduced her to me to help her with her music career.

“I had been invited by some media houses for interviews, and since I was helping her with her music, I decided to take her along. Then from there I went with her to the one-week celebration where she acted as a backup singer for me,” he explained.

He added that her choice of outfit to the event was not indecent, noting that the woman’s physique naturally stood out.

When probed about the performance, including a moment when he asked her to do a 360 spin to the delight of the spectators, Broda Sammy claimed that it was meant purely to engage the crowd and uplift spirits, not to offend.

“It was a stage performance, we had to be creative on stage. Many other artistes had been on stage already. It got to my turn, I had to put smiles on their faces. That was why I asked her to do a 360 spin,” he explained.
