Legendary Ghanaian musician Agya Koo Nimo has expressed desire to perform with dancehall star Shatta Wale.

In an interview with Kafui Dey, shared on X on June 12, 2025, the veteran highlife musician, who had previously spoken about his admiration for the “Ayoo” hitmaker, reiterated his wish to meet him in person.

While discussing his appreciation for Shatta Wale’s craft, Kafui Dey made a surprise phone call to the dancehall musician.

An excited Agya Koo Nimo seized the moment to make a request for a joint concert, saying, “Hello Shatta, my name is Koo Nimo. I want to do one show with you before I die. I am 94. I want to see you in person, so I am happy to have the opportunity to talk to you. Try to visit me one day.

“I am in a wheelchair and can’t walk, but there is something you should know. I love you and I love everything you do. May God bless you,” he said.

Shatta Wale, equally moved by the conversation, responded enthusiastically, stating that he would waste no time in meeting the highlife legend.

“God bless you. It has been my dream to always meet you. Since you have called me, I will make time and visit you.

“May God bless you for giving me this opportunity to be a great musician in Ghana, and thank you very much. I have been telling people about the legacy you have left, and I respect that so much. This call will definitely make me come and see you,” he added
